The Irish wrestler’s agent said he underwent a three-hour surgery and “will make a full recovery in time.
Dustin Poirier defeated Conor McGregor, former UFC champion in two categories, by technical knockout during their fight at UFC 264, held on July 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA).
The fight was stopped after the first round after the Irish fighter broke his left leg while trying to dodge a blow from his American rival.

“This is not over,” said ‘The Notorious’ from the Octagon when interviewed after the fight. “If we have to solve it outside, we will solve it outside. I don’t give a damn,” he added.
McGregor suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula and underwent a three-hour surgery last Sunday, his agent Audie A. Attar reported on Twitter, who assured that, according to the doctors, the athlete “will recover completely over time.” .
“I just got out of the OR guys! The surgery was excellent! I feel great. Six weeks on crutches and we are back together! Come on! God bless you,” the fighter later tweeted.
