Fernando Alonso has started with scare on the installation lap of the British GP, in which he will start seventh on the grid after being shown at the start of the sprint race on Saturday. The Asturian spun into Turn 7 after hitting the gravel with the rear of the Alpine. The car does not appear to have suffered serious damage, but its mechanics are working in a hurry to repair the affected areas, in the bottom of the car.
Alonso is in his position on the grid and the mechanics, after inspecting the flat bottom of his Alpine and removing the stones from the bottom, are now preparing a putty to join those elements that have suffered any small fractures.
I’m working against the clock right now on the grid ⏱️ https://t.co/hLF9EGFyQX
