The Spanish women’s 4X400 team achieved this sunday in the European U-20 in Tallinn (Estonia) a historic silver medal which, in addition to being a new record for Spain in the category, becomes the first medal to be achieved by a women’s relay in the history of this championship.
Carmen Avilés, Berta Segura, Bárbara Cosculluela and Lucía Pinacchio, with a mark of 3: 36.10, they withstood the attacks of the Italians, Irish and Norwegians and were only surpassed by the German team, who took the gold.

The Aragonese Pol Oriach proclaimed himself European U-20 champion 3,000 meter hurdles when he won the Tallinn final in a powerful final lap that gave him the title with a time of 8: 41.36, best European record of the year and fourth in Spain of all time.
