The 2021 Apertura Tournament of Liga MX is just around the corner and the teams are beginning to analyze what capacity will be allowed in their stadiums for this campaign, although for Mazatlán FC, the outlook looks quite dark.
The State of Sinaloa became the first in the Mexican Republic to return to the color red in the Covid Traffic Light, so all non-essential activities must be suspended.

Among the measures taken at this level, which is considered high risk of contagion, are the closure of parks and public spaces and the prohibition of mass activities, so it seems very unlikely that Mazatlán FC will be able to open the doors of the Kraken Stadium.

The Cañoneros will play on Date 1 of the 2021 Apertura as visitors on Monday, July 26, against the Cruz Azul Machine, and their first match at home will be on Friday, 30 against the Tuzos del Pachuca.
Despite the fact that there are two weeks to go before Mazatlán’s first match at home, everything seems to indicate that, due to the conditions in the state of Sinaloa and in the country with the increase in cases, it should be played without fans.
So far, neither Liga MX nor Mazatlán FC have issued any statement about what will happen in the Kraken for the start of Apertura 2021.
