Normalists light torches in CDMX, demand freedom for 95 students

MEXICO CITY

Normalist students from the state of Chiapas who maintain a permanent sit-in in front of the National Palace, held a demonstration this morning to request that the freedom restrictions imposed on their 95 fellow detainees be removed after a demonstration held on May 18 at the toll booth. from the Tuxtla Gutiérrez-San Cristóbal highway.

The normalistas launched some slogans and lit torches during the protest.

They are students from the Mactumactzá Rural Normal School, who arrived at about 05:00 hours at the Plaza de la Constitución in Mexico City.

They demand the immediate and unconditional release of their fellow detainees in the state of Chiapas, as well as a solution to the educational and labor demands of normalistas.
