The New York Yankees selected the contract of veteran Asher Wojciechowski to debut against the Philadelphia Phillies in the MLB.

Asher Wojciechowski has played with the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles in the Major Leagues, has nearly 200 innings and 192 strikeouts pitched in the majors.

Wojciechowski debuted in 2015 with the Houston Astros at the MLB At the age of 26, he returned with the Cincinnati Reds, moved to the Baltimore Orioles and has seen no action other than in the Minor Leagues this season.

Wojciechowski has a record of facing a Philadelphia Phillies who have been a bit aggressive offensively, depending on how that exit depends on his future with the New York Yankeesas it is not a prospectus or something like that.

He is 0-1 this season with a 5.68 ERA in 12.2 innings with 68 strikeouts, which is extremely lousy although not in the long run.
