US President Joe Biden will host his Ukrainian counterpart Volodimir Zelenski at the White House on August 30, press secretary Jen Psaki announced.
An occasion when Kiev is likely to push for more support in its protracted war with Russian-backed separatists.
“The visit will reaffirm America’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression in Donbas and Crimea,” Psaki said in a statement.
Washington has long supported Kiev in the dispute with Moscow, initially inviting Zelensky to visit him in July.
