Two women and a minor were found dead, by gunshots, in the municipality of Barrio la Soledad, on the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca.

Elements of the State Investigation Agency and staff from the regional Vice Prosecutor’s Office proceeded to lift the bodies found around midnight in the Río Grande area, in the same indigenous Zapotec municipality.
The victims correspond to an adult woman, an adolescent and a child, who have not been identified, which is why they remain at the municipal rest where the legal autopsy was performed.
On the other hand, the Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office also investigates the femicide of Icelin N., a housewife who was murdered on her doorstep on the community of San Marcos Nejapa, municipality of Santa María Zacatepec, in the Sierra Sur.
The institution revealed that the crime was perpetrated at close range, and ruled out suspicions for resistance to theft; the investigation is carried out under the protocol of femicide.
Feminist organizations lamented the murders of women, which rose to 42 violent deaths this year.
The independent newspaper count of the collectives reports that the most violent regions are the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Valles Centrales, Costa and Papaloapan, in contrast, the Sierra Norte, has zero incidence of crimes of femicide.
As for the manner of death, most of them are by bullet wounds, a knife and a machete.
