Alaba, Depay, De Paul: the most valuable transfers of the summer market

Until now

The Spanish First Division places three signings from the summer window among the most valuable in the international market for next season, and that despite the modest expenditure, one more year, of the national competition in reinforcements. LaLiga is, so far and by far, the last of the five great investment championships with just over 100 million euros earmarked for new faces.

Of course, three signings of Spanish teams are among the ten most valuable so far this summer. The first of them is that of defender David Alaba for Real Madrid, who occupies the fourth place globally with a market value of € 55 million.

In sixth position is the new FC Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay, who, as in the case of the former Bayern Alaba player, reached his destination at zero cost. The Dutchman landed at the Camp Nou with a valuation of 45 million euros.

In addition, the brand new signing of Atlético de Madrid Rodrigo de Paul is the seventh in the summer ranking. The Argentine midfielder transferred by Udinese, in exchange for 35 million euros, was hired with a market value of 38 million euros. Although, on July 16 it was revalued to 40 million due to its good performance in the Copa América 2021.

Likewise, De Paul is to date the most expensive signing in LaLiga for next season and the fifth highest at the international level. The 27-year-old footballer is Atlético’s second reinforcement together with attacker Marcos Paulo, hired free of charge after ending his relationship with Fluminense.
