the hybrid, also in a commercial version

That the Toyota Yaris is a success is no secret. The smallest hybrid of the Japanese brand has been awarded the Car of the Year award in Europe in 2021 and is fitter than ever after the last update. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before we saw the Toyota Yaris ECOVan 2021 the commercial version of the model that is now in its second generation and that brings some improvements.

We already saw a similar version of its predecessor that was added to the Toyota Professional family and now they have wanted to repeat. They do it with a copy that is an ideal solution for the transportation in urban environments and last mile deliveries. It is a job done by the Toyota Custom department, which consists of a complete transformation that comes from the factory with all guarantees. In addition, it has the advantage of being the only hybrid available in this segment.

Apparently it is the same as the rest of Toyota Yaris, because we must not forget that the five-door body it’s the only option in the range (not counting the radical Toyota GR Yaris). However, in this transformation the second row of seats is removed and a divider is installed between the front seats and the new cargo area. This space has a raised wooden floor and is covered with a rubber mat so that it does not suffer damage.

In this way, in the Toyota Yaris ECOVan there is a surface that has a maximum length of 1.24 meters, a width of 86.7 centimeters and a height of 69.5 centimeters. The available cargo volume is 720 liters and 0.9 cubic meters. In addition, the loading mouth goes to a height of only 67 centimeters and can carry up to 430 kg of weight. The customer is also given the option of laminating the rear windows or even vinyl them so that the load is not seen.

This specimen can be chosen in two finishes. The Business Plus It already has a fairly complete endowment thanks to details such as the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system with a 7-inch touch screen and full connectivity, climate control, rain sensor, fog lights or the Toyota Safety Sense driving aids. In the Active Tech it is completed with LED taillights, leather steering wheel, keyless entry and start, rear view camera or an 8-inch touchscreen.

The hybrid mechanics is exactly the same as in the other versions, with the corresponding DGT ECO label. The transformation of the Toyota Yaris ECOVan has a price of 1,300 euros plus VAT, which should be added to the price of the donor vehicle.
