The Pamesa Business Group, with Fernando Roig in front, acquires the Azuliber Industrial Group and advances unstoppably in the leadership of the ceramic business.
The acquisition of Azuliber, whose operation will be formalized in the next few days, increases Pamesa’s tile production capacity as well as increases its business in the production and supply of atomized clays. In this sense, it should be noted that Azuliber is one of the leading companies in the production and supply of atomized red clays and, in addition, has a white paste and porcelain atomization plant for supplies and own consumption.
In addition, the purchase of Azuliber by Pamesa incorporates the company led by Fernando Roig ceramic brands of international reference What Azuliber,Valentia, Myr, Goetan, Alcor, Unitiles, Click and Oset, plus Keriber(specialized in promotion services) and part of Azulejera Alcorense.
The acquisition by Pamesa comes at a time of full business expansion by Azuliber, which at the beginning of the year closed the purchase of Azulejos Plaza. In fact, Azuliber had aroused buying interest from other industrial groups, although the acquisition option by Pamesa was the winner.
The purchase transaction, the amount of which is calculated in 70 million euros, is in addition to the investments already announced by Pamesa for the current fiscal year 2021. In this sense, it should be recalled that President Fernando Roig announced at the beginning of June at a press conference the construction of the new Pamesa central offices, which will be located between Vila-real and Onda and will be ready at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2022; the new furnaces to increase production capacity, the construction of a new logistics warehouse in Onda, or the raw materials center that will be set up next to the TAU facilities in Castelln. An ambitious investment plan that was known a few months after Pamesa already showed its objective of continuing to grow with the acquisition of Pulidos La Plana in March.
Consolidated as one of the strongest ceramic groups in the world, Pamesa Grupo Empresarial is the first European producer and the seventh worldwide, covering 19% of the sector’s production in Spain and increasing its turnover by five in the last 10 years.
The commercialization of the industrial group dedicated to the design, manufacture, distribution and sale of ceramic products is carried out through its six brands Pamesa, TAU, Prissmacer, Ecoceramic, Geotiles and Navarti, with the purpose of satisfying the needs of its customers and generating value for all. company interest groups.
Under the leadership of Fernando Roig and following the premises of design, avant-garde, technology and innovation, the group is committed to the environment at all levels, generating employment and wealth, making a strong investment in commitment to the environment, talent management and giving an ethical, social and economic response to society and the territory.
The Pamesa Business Group received a certificate of honor for the year of the Covid. The company closed 2020 with a profit growth of 57%, exceeding the figure of 66 million euros, and has achieved total sales of 782.68 million euros, 11% more than in 2019, as and as reported by the president of the company and Villarreal CF, Fernando Roig, at a press conference last June that took place in the newly opened restaurant El Ceramista, on the soccer field of the Europa League champion.
“2020 has been a good year because even though we had to stop 10 days, we reacted quickly and in the following months we were able to recover,” Roig explained at the press conference in which he offered the company’s annual results. The ceramic business continues to be the bulk of the business group’s activity, with sales that exceeded 616 million euros in 2020 and increased by 20% compared to the previous year. “Right now we have more orders for ceramics than we are able to supply “, acknowledged the president.
Therefore, the forecasts for the current financial year 2021 are even more optimistic. In fact, the president announced that the total sales figure of the business group will reach 1,100 million euros in 2021, a percentage that will represent a growth of 40% compared to 2020. And, in addition, the rebound in ceramic turnover will still be major: “The objective is to achieve sales of ceramics worth 900 million euros in 2021, which will mean a growth of 45% and reach 130 million square meters,” detailed Fernando Roig. As for the benefits expected for 2021, the president predicts that they will be 100 million euros.
Undoubtedly, the acquisition of Azuliber will allow the results not only to be more than met, but also to be exceeded and to supply all the ceramic demand that continues at an increasing rate for the Pamesa Business Group, the world ceramic colossus that Fernando Roig presides.
