We continue to rescue the most newsworthy moments of the Venice Festival, which is taking place these days in the Italian city. In addition to seeing some of the most anticipated films of the season (‘Dune’, ‘Parallel mothers’, ‘Spencer’, ‘The power of the dog’, ‘It was the hand of God’ …), Venice is being a source of curious news such as the sensual pose of Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain, and now this moment starring Anya Taylor-Joy.
But do not worry. After a minute of confused applause, Anya appeared and graciously accepted Venice’s standing ovation for her performance. # venezia78 pic.twitter.com/SMvp6Ko0eD

The young actress from ‘Lady’s Gambit’ is one of the protagonists of ‘The Mystery of Soho’, the new film by Edgar Wright that has been seen this weekend in Venice. When the screening in the Sala Grande ended, the audience responded with an ovation (something that is already taken for granted in the Italian competition), but they found a small surprise: the protagonist of the film had left the room. Luckily he did not take long to reappear and the audience responded by rising from the boxes to applaud him.
Joining her were the director of ‘Baby Driver’ and his co-star, Matt Smith (‘The Crown’, ‘Doctor Who’), who have visited the pageant to present the film. ‘The Mystery of Soho’ will hit Spanish cinemas on November 5 and is a psychological thriller starring Taylor-Joy and Thomasin Mckenzie (‘Old’) about a girl who travels to the past, specifically to London in the 60s.

Full of secrets
Wright has sent a letter to festival goers saying a request reminiscent of the one made by Alfred Hitchcock (whom the film intends to honor) with ‘Psycho’: “I would ask our first viewers to keep the secrets so that others can discover them later. When you write about the film, [tened en cuenta que] we would love for those who see it to discover the story at the same time as Eloise. “The director of ‘Scott Pilgrim against the world’ ended the letter by asking that what happens in ‘Last Night in Soho'” stay in Soho. .. “.
