If just a few days ago we could take a first look at the new appearance that Jason Momoa will have in the sequel to ‘Aquaman’, now it is the turn of another of the characters that we already met in the first installment, such as Orm , a character played by Patrick Wilson. This character was the former king of Atlantis and half-brother of Aquaman, and was imprisoned after being revealed as a true tyrant in the first film. Now we have been able to know the new look with which we will see him in the next ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, thanks to a post on the Instagram account James Wan, director of the film:
“I ran into this guy stranded on a deserted beach, doing his’ Castaway ‘impression,” says Wan, alluding to his obvious resemblance to Tom Hanks’ character in this aforementioned film, a look that is completely different from the appearance with which we met him in the first film. They both seem to be on a beach, surely one of the locations where this film is being shot.
Wilson has also shown that he is following a tough training routine to prepare for his role in this sequel to the DC film, as he posted a few weeks ago on his Instagram account a video in which he was seen practicing weightlifting:
“Thanks to Ayo Falae for the last more than three months of Orm training … in addition to all the preparation for the first film. A lot of sweat and Yela Wolf. Here we go,” Wilson posted along with this video.
Patrick Wilson will return for as much as Orm in this ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, which will again star Jason Momoa in his role as Arthur Curry and will again feature Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus. Along with them stands out the new addition of Pilou Asbæk, a Danish actor known for playing Euron Greyjoy in ‘Game of Thrones’.
Inspired by a horror movie
James Wan also revealed a few days ago that One of the great inspirations for this sequel had been the movie ‘Planet of the Vampires’, a film from the 60s directed by Mario Bava, According to Heroic Hollywood, the director commented the following: “Aquaman 2 is very inspired by ‘Terror in space’. You can remove the terror boy but you can never remove the terror from guy”. Wan has also just released the movie ‘Maligno’ in our country.
At the moment an official synopsis of the film is hardly known, which is being shot during these months in London. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters next December 16, 2022.
