The health pandemic has not prevented the demand for housing from rising in the province of Castelln at the beginning of 2021 and, together with this increase in sales, there is also an increase in the request for the procedures that are required to the construction of new buildings.
The number of new construction visas has reached the figure of 548 during the first five monthss of the year in the province of Castelln, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
The number of applications accumulated until the end of May is the highest for that same period in the last decade in the province of Castelln. Thus, it is necessary to go back to the beginning of 2011 to find a higher figure, since in the first five months of that year the volume of new construction visas was 622 in the whole of Castellón regions, according to the statistics of the Ministry .
In addition, the data for new construction visas at the beginning of 2021 in the province of Castelln represents an exponential growth compared to the figures from a year ago, affected by the effects of the Covid health pandemic.
In this sense, compared to the 548 new construction visas registered in the province of Castelln with the data accumulated until last May, in the same period of 2020 there were 343, which represents a year-on-year rise of 60%.
The data is also significantly higher than that registered in the first five months of 2019, when 438 were counted, so that at this time the procedures presented for the start of the construction of a house are 25% higher than the figures prior to construction. pandemic.
Regarding the evolution of new construction management visas throughout the national territory, the trend is the same as that registered in the province of Castelln. The procedures for the beginning of the construction of real estate has also increased in the first five months of 2021. In fact, this figure has grown 37% compared to the same period in 2020, and 15% compared to the first five months of 2019, before the pandemic.
It should be remembered that the sale of housing has returned to figures of the real estate bubble in the province of Castelln with the best start of the year since 2008, at least at the start of the year. The data provided by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda leave no doubt that the interest in buying a home is on the rise in the Castellón regions by adding three consecutive quarters of increases after the negative impact that was registered in the second quarter of 2020 due to the pandemic.
Parallel to the rebound in the number of transactions, the total value of transactions also sets a record with the highest amount since the beginning of 2009. However, the average amount of transactions real estate is reduced slightly to 87,229 euros.
In the province of Castelln a total of 2,609 transactions real estate during the first quarter of 2021, details the Ministry.
