RIO DE JANEIRO / SAO PAULO, Jun 2 (.) – Oil production in Brazil fell marginally in April from the previous month, according to data released on Tuesday, as arrests related to the coronavirus pandemic and a dramatic drop in Demand had a limited impact on pumping.

According to sector regulator ANP, Brazil produced 2.958 million barrels of oil per day in April, 13.6% more than in the same month last year and 0.5% less than in March.

State oil company Petrobras had announced cuts of 200,000 bpd in late March, but quickly reversed them amid Chinese demand.
