The Ministry of Health has reported this Friday a rebound in the daily data of deceased and new infections by coronavirus. In the last 24 hours there have been 56 deaths and 446 cases, which brings the total figures for the pandemic in Spain to 28,628 deaths and 234,824 infected. However, the department led by Salvador Illa has warned in its bulletin that the data provided by Catalonia requires revision for the second consecutive day.

The number of new positives for PCR tests has stood at 446, which “is in line with what has been seen these days, although they are somewhat elevated,” according to the director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón. . It represents a rebound of 102 from the previous day, when the number of daily infections was 344. However, it should be noted that Thursday’s figures did not include cases registered in Catalonia in the previous 24 hours.

The deceased on the last day amounted to 56 this Friday, which represents an increase of 8 compared to the 48 deaths the previous day. Despite the increase compared to the previous day, it is the second most positive data regarding mortality, ahead of 59 deaths on Monday.

Health has warned that the figures of new cases provided by Catalonia require revision, since it has notified 150 infections, although some of them correspond to previous days and pending diagnosis date assignment. Health has been able to validate the data regarding deaths, which are at 3.

By communities, Madrid is the one with the highest number of new infections (with 53), although it represents a significant decrease compared to 82 the previous day. They are followed by Castilla y León, with 47, and Castilla-La Mancha, with 41. Melilla is the only autonomy that has not reported any positive in the last 24 hours.

As for deaths, too Madrid is the community where more deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours, with 13, although they are 6 less than the previous day. It is followed by Castilla-La Mancha and Aragón, which have registered 10. The increase in deaths stands out precisely in this last autonomy, which the previous day only registered one.
