Three cyclists have been injured with traumatic brain injury in two traffic accidents that occurred in the province of Castellón in less than an hour.
The first of these was around 8:50 p.m., when a cyclist was found lying on the ground unconscious, next to your bicycle, on the Camino Real de Borriol, cross the Rambla de la Viuda de Almassora.
A SAMU unit traveled to the scene, whose medical team assisted the 43-year-old man from traumatic brain injury.
After being stabilized, he was transferred to the General University Hospital of Castelló.
Shortly thereafter, at 9:15 p.m. the CICU was alerted that a woman also with a bicycle was unconscious on the ground, at the roundabout of the N-340 with the N-332, in the municipality of Vinaròs.
A SAMU unit assisted the 49-year-old cyclist due to traumatic brain injury with otorrhea and was evacuated to the Vinaròs Regional Hospital.
Then a secondary transport was requested from this hospital to the General University Hospital of Castellón, the woman was also transferred in an advanced life support ambulance.
Finally, at 9:50 p.m. from the Continuous Care Point in Peñíscola, the CICU was asked to provide a Basic Life Support unit to assist another cyclist, a 62-year-old man with traumatic brain injury and alcohol poisoning.
The SVB ambulance traveled there and the injured person was transferred to the Comarcal de Vinaròs hospital.
