CFE Telecommunications and Internet for All presented its national deployment plan on Tuesday, which only shows the phases it will integrate and the duration.
However, it does not give details of the populations it is going to cover, kilometers per year, points of presence and neither of the investment, according to what a specialist in the matter told the CEO who preferred to omit his name.
The document indicates that the National Plan comprises five phases ranging from 0 to 4, which will conclude in 2023. At the end, 6,163 localities will have been reached.
At the end of all the fiber optic phases, the deployment of the Red Compartida will be carried out in a complementary way:
CDMX’s Connection Plan is the ‘Ring’, which plans to strengthen the federal fiber optic network, provide connectivity to more than 19 secretaries of state and the possibility of a significant reduction in connection costs.
While in the emergent Plan COVID-19 before the emergency, it was required to provide connection to 18 High Specialty Hospitals. There were 11 hospitals in Mexico City and seven in other entities of the country: Chiapas, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Morelos, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas and Yucatan.
It should be noted that the whereabouts of CFE Telecommunications CEO Raymundo Artis Espriú is unknown. This is because THE CEO, a month ago, tried to arrange an interview with the manager without any success because both CFE and the Presidency do not know his whereabouts.
