The Undersecretary of Health said that the traffic light in orange and yellow at the regional or state level will allow activity in Liga MX

The undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatellexplained that the traffic light in color orange and yellow at the regional or state level they will allow the activity in the Liga MX.

The extraordinary assembly of Liga MX agreed yesterday, Friday, to conclude the Closing 2020, which had been suspended since March 16, due to the pandemic of coronavirus COVID-19.

During tonight’s conference at the National Palace, López-Gatell explained that “Liga MX had unilaterally, a gesture of great responsibility. It is an appropriate decision in terms of reducing the epidemic risk at the national and regional levels. ”

He added that in this way the risk of contagion was avoided in players, support personnel, from the same league and other people involved.

Regarding when it could be reactivated, he replied that it is not a decision that will be taken neither in the league nor in the productive sector, if an analogy is made that this sport belongs to that sector.

“It depends precisely on the traffic light and the traffic light is regional, it is state, and then where there is an orange or yellow traffic light these activities can take place, and where there is a red traffic light these activities cannot take place,” the official explained.

Hugo López-Gatell described as positive the fact that Liga MX had, from the beginning of the epidemic, a very proactive role in reaching out to the government, with a very fluid and continuous dialogue.

“We can plan and in due course, when the best combination is found for the entrepreneurs responsible for this, it leads them to think that it is appropriate to do so: open, given the restrictions imposed by protection against the epidemic,” concluded the undersecretary.
