Coronavirus —

Nicolás Maduro, president of the Venezuelan Regime, decreed the extension of the state of health emergency until June 12, although with certain flexibilities in the quarantine. The country has reached 1,662 coronavirus positives and 17 deaths, 3 in the last 24 hours.

Flexibility measures for quarantine in Verenzuela

The Government reported last Saturday the new measures that are going to be carried out with the aim of recovering some relative normality and reactivating the country’s economy. The quarantine caused many companies to stop their work activity, which left the population without having a source of economic income.

Workers may return to their jobs for 5 days a week and then they will have to spend 10 days working alone at home. In this way, the epidemiology of all measures will be allowed to be observed. “Venezuela is ready to enter a new phase and a new relative normality with an organized, disciplined and conscious plan,” said Maduro.

The flexibilization measures are intended to help families and to recover their working hours. Border municipalities such as Táchira, Apure, Amazonas and Santa Elena are excluded of these standards.
