(ER with .) – “Many countries have been significantly affected by covid-19 and have therefore expressed the need to postpone Dubai Expo 2020 for a year,” said the director general of the event, Reem Al-Hashemy. “The Emirates and Expo 2020 Dubai listened. The Luxembourg pavilion is expected to cost nearly 32 million euros.

Dubai, known for hosting hundreds of conferences each year, has canceled a series of cultural and entertainment events due to the spread of the new coronavirus pandemic. The UAE has announced 570 cases of coronavirus and three deaths. They have put in place containment measures to curb the spread of the virus, including heavy nighttime travel restrictions.

The gastronomic concept of the Luxembourg pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Dubai was presented by the Luxembourg Hotel and Tourism School this Thursday in Diekirch. Kim Kevin de Dood and his team will offer Grand-Ducal cuisine with an exotic touch.

Luxembourg must take part in this event, from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021. Luxembourg solutions to future challenges in the areas of circular economy and resource protection are among the themes proposed by the Grand Duchy at the heart of its pavilion, the cost of which is estimated at 32 million euros.

The city-state of Dubai, which is part of the United Arab Emirates federation, is counting on this six-month exhibition to attract 25 million visitors and stimulate its economy.
