After the United Kingdom imposed quarantine on travelers from France, the Government of Emmanuel Macron responded with the same measure

France announced this Friday that it will impose a quarantine 14 days to all travelers from Kingdom United, in reciprocity for London’s decision to take that step in its fight against COVID-19.

“We regret the British decision. France is ready to launch a reciprocity measure when the device will come into force on the British side, ”the French Interior Ministry told local media.

In this way, Paris takes the same measure that it adopted with Spain when Madrid announced that all travelers entering the country should respect 14 days of quarantine.

The British Government announced this Friday the imposition of that quarantine starting June 8 to try to prevent further outbreaks of coronavirus from abroad.

The Minister of the Interior, Priti Patel, indicated in a press conference that skipping the quarantine will have penalties economic.

The French President, Emmanuel Macron, criticized last Monday the imposition of these unilateral measures and expressed doubts that it is “the most effective or realistic measure.”
