Avery Bradley will not join the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA restart next month, and the status of veteran Dwight Howard is not yet defined.
Several reports in recent weeks have noted that Howard joined his team in Orlando, but that is not a guarantee that he will be in gold and purple. Lakers vice president of operations and general manager Rob Pelinka said he understands the veteran is not making a final decision yet as he must care for his son, who lost his mother a few months ago.
Rob Pelinka says Dwight Howard is another player with an “extenuating circumstance” – beyond Avery Bradley – after the mother of one of his children passed away recently. The team continues to stay in touch with him and is hopeful he will be with them in Orlando

So far this season, the center has averaged 7.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Surely, it would be a great resource for the Lakers once the season resumes.
