An alleged member of the Sinaloa Cartel circulating in an armored car with plates not registered in the system, he was arrested with four million pesos in cash (about US $ 172,000), when he could not verify the origin of the money, in Colonia Moctezuma Segunda Sección, in Venustiano Carranza.

This afternoon, two elements of the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) were patrolling on 150 Oriente Street, corner with Norte 25, when they observed two men with a suspicious attitude.

The men became aware of the presence of the police and quickly drove away in their armored vehicle, with plates from the State of Mexico.

The soldiers carried out a preventive search in which they found a backpack containing bundles of banknotes of different denominations.

According to the report, the driver, Félix Ponce Edgar Armando, 33, indicated that he had approximately four million pesos, but could not verify its origin, so he was insured.

The subject was at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the specialized Prosecutor’s Office.
