New York —
Zudi Daci lost his life hours after being hit by an unlicensed pickup truck driver while riding a bike on Staten Island (NYC).
Daci, 79, suffered a severe trauma to the head being hit at the intersection of Arlene Street and Signs Road in the Bulls Head section, around 8:20 a.m. Friday.
He later died at the University of Richmond Medical Center, New York Post reported.
The driver Faustino Rebollar García, 43, remained at the scene and was charged with driving a 2000 Ford pickup truck without a license. The investigation is ongoing.
“It is a very, very dangerous intersection,” a resident told the Staten Island Advance. “They really need to put a light on here … I see accidents on this corner all the time.”
