New York —
Borussia Mönchengladbach increasingly sells more tickets although there is no public in the stadium
Borussia Mönchengladbach of the Bundesliga had the encouragement of 12,000 cardboard figures this Saturday than they simulated the presence of fans in the stands of their stadium, in the closed-door game that lost 3-1 to Bayer Leverkusen.
13,000 fans “attended” the Borussia Mönchengladbach home game today.
They paid 19 euros to have their photo printed and placed in the stadium; proceeds will be donated to a charitable cause.

The team led by Marco Rose had previously trained with the figures in the stands and the coach said it was something fantastic because it gave the players the feeling of “not being alone”.
The idea was proposed by an organization that offers Gladbach fans the possibility of putting their photo on a cardboard figure in the town they normally occupy at the stadium, for a price of 19 euros.
Until now there have been 20,000 requests, so that in the next matches the Borussia Park stadium may be a little more ‘full’.
