Joe Flacco to Play in the Jets | Justin Casterline / .

Quarterback Joe Flacco has struck a deal with the New York Jets, his agency reported Friday.

Flacco will earn $ 1.5 million and have a chance to raise that value to $ 3 million by meeting a number of incentives in his contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Flacco was the MVP of the 2013 Super Bowl when he was a member of the Baltimore Ravens. It should be noted that the Jets general manager is Joe Douglas, who worked in Baltimore as a scout in 2008, the year the franchise caught Flacco in the first round.

The expectation is that the 35-year-old will be Sam Darnold’s substitute next season.
