The President of the United States, Donald Trump, went this Saturday to play golf at one of his courses for this sport, specifically in Virginia, after two months of inactivity due to the crisis of the new coronavirus, which until now has caused the death of 95,000 Americans.

The presidential caravan arrived at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, on Saturday morning, various US media report, according to the Europa Press news agency.

According to CNN, the Secret Service agents in charge of presidential security wore masks, but Trump and the other players did not. Even Trump was driving his own cart and appeared to be carrying no caddy to transport the sticks and other equipment.

Last Thursday, the Republican magnate assured during a visit to a Ford factory in Michigan that he is not going to give the press “the pleasure” of seeing him with a chinstrap, the protective element used worldwide to prevent a possible spread of coronavirus, even though it is actually used.

“I don’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it,” he said.

The last visit to one of their golf courses was on March 8 at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. CNN has accounted for 357 Trump visits to his properties during his presidency and 265 trips to his golf clubs.

Last Sunday, Trump called an NBC golf program and said, “I miss him. I have not been playing since this problem we have started. I have not been able to play for a long time. I have been very busy.”
